John Wood has been in alfalfa production since his first job at age fourteen---raking hay with a 1959 John Deere 530 tractor. Alfalfa production has changed a lot since then, and Crucible Farms has kept up with the changes. We grow and bale alfalfa in the low humidity and long days of the Nebraska high plains---perfect for keeping the leaves and nutrients in the bale.
